After getting many rumors and leaked information about the upcoming devices of the Samsung, i.e., the Galaxy A8 (2018) and the Galaxy A8+ (2018) model, now the company has officially announced the two devices. As per the report, the devices are the successor of the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017). Well, it is expected that the devices look very close to the Galaxy S series devices but come with some significant features.
So let’s start with the features and specifications of the devices. The Galaxy A8 comes with a 5.6-inch FHD+ display and the Galaxy A8+comes with a 6-inch FHD+ display. Both the devices will have the Infinity Display. The aspect ratio will be 18.5:9. The company has not revealed about the processor of the two devices. But it is expected that the devices may come with a Snapdragon SoC or Exynos processor. Both will have the Octa-Core processor.
The Galaxy A8 will come with a 4GB RAM and will offer 32GB of internal storage and 64GB storage. The Galaxy A8+ will come with two different configurations. It will come with a 4GB of RAM, and with that, it will offer 32GB of internal memory. In another configuration, the device will carry a 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Both the devices carry the fingerprint sensor on the back side.
Coming to their camera configurations, both will carry a dual camera set up on the front side. The set up will come with a 16MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor with Live Focus support, and it will also support f/1.9 aperture. On the rear side, the devices will carry a 16MP camera and will support f/1.7 aperture.
The Galaxy A8 (2018) is backed by a 3000mAh battery while the Galaxy A8+ (2018) is backed by a 3500mAh battery. There will be the fast charging feature on both the devices.
These smartphones come with Android 7.1 Nougat. Well, that can be a major drawback of the device as many devices have started receiving Android Oreo.
