We had previously come across a report which suggested that Panasonic is planning to launch a bezel-less smartphone named as Panasonic ‘Eluga C’ on the 29th on November in Taiwan. And as teased, Panasonic has finally unveiled the Eluga C smartphone at a price tag of TWD 6000, which is roughly Rs 12,900.
Talking about the specifications of the phone, the Eluga C comes with two major highlights- one highlight is the presence of a bezel-less display and the other is that the phone comes with a dual rear camera set up. The Panasonic Eluga C features a 5.5 inch display with very thin bezels and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Even though the phone has a bezel-less display, it still seems like the handset does not come with a full-screen design. The smartphone sports a 16:9 aspect ratio screen and not an 18:9 aspect ratio screen that was rumoured earlier.
The Panasonic Eluga C is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750T SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and is backed by a 3000 mAh battery. The phone comes with a 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage that the user can expand up to 256 GB with the help of a microSD card. The Eluga C smartphone features a 13 mega pixel and 5 mega pixel dual camera set up in the rear side. Up in the front, the device features a 8 mega pixel camera. There is also a finger print sensor in the phone which is embedded into the home button at the front side.
There is not much detail about the connectivity aspects of the Eluga C but it can be expected that the phone will support 4G VoLTE as it is the current trend going on in all smartphones. With the launch of Eluga C, Panasonic has entered the race of the thin bezel-less display smartphone segment in the market.
