A few days back OnePlus had released Oxygen OS 4.5.15 update, and it brought the latest security patch, i.e., the October Security patch for the OnePlus 5 which was based on Android Nougat 7.1.1. Now OnePlus has announced another new updated for the OnePlus 5. This time company has rolled out Open Beta Program for the device. As per the new report, the new open beta build is based on Android Oreo 8.0 and now available for download. The new update comes with some system improvements and minor bug fixes and comes with stability enhancement.

For Launcher the update has fixed widget issues and also fixed shortcut issues. For Camera, the new update has brought UI Improvements. In Files Manager, the new update has added f4v format in the video category. It also brings some speed improvements while deleting massive files. For the system, It brings improvements to reading mode, improvements in vibration, improvements in Bluetooth audio. It brings fixes for parallel apps bugs and also has fixed the reboot issue when using the picture in picture mode. This time the update has brought the November Android security patch to the device. Well, it is not the latest security patch as other companies have started giving December Security patch. But for OnePlus 5, it is the new security patch update.
The OnePlus 5 comes with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED full HD display and offers 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it carries Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 octa-core 2.45GHz quad-core combination of Kryo 280 + 1.9 GHz quad-core Kryo processor. It also has the Adreno 540 GPU. It has an 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM.
The device offers a 20MP + 16MP dual rear camera and 16MP front camera. It has Android Nougat OS, but soon it will get the stable version of Android Oreo 8.0. The device is backed by a 3300mAh battery.
