Samsung introduced its Bixby with the device like the Galaxy S8 and S8+. It was introduced around nine months back, i.e., in March 2017. Later it was also included with the Galaxy Note 8. However, some users had given some negative feedback about Bixby. Keeping in mind about the issues faced by the users, two months ago the company provided an option where the users can disable the Bixby key. Now the company has rolled out a new updated for Bixby. Now, the users of Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 can install that update which comes with an option to prevent the key from firing home Bixby Home.
In September, when Samsung released the update which allowed the users to disable the Bixby button, that didn’t resolve the issues. That update didn’t disable the Bixby. Even after disabled the Bixby assistance, it woke up the device immediately after pressing the button. The users could wake up their devices accidentally by pressing the button. Now, the company has solved the issues entirely. With the latest Bixby, the users can ultimately kill the hardware button which activates the Bixby.
The process for updating the Bixby on the Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 is very easy. The users only need to follow some simple step. To update Bixby, first, the users need to open Galaxy Apps on their devices. After that, they can see the three-dot toggle in the upper right corner inside Galaxy Apps. Then select My Apps followed by Update. Then press the Update All button. That’s it. If the users have limited data plan, then they can switch over to a Wi-Fi network as the update may consume more data.
However, the company is working more on its virtual assistance. Recently,Samsung has launched Bixby voice feature in around 200 countries and now it is gaining more popularity.
