The Moto X4 has been launched in India at an event held in New Delhi that began at 2:30pm IST. The live streaming of the Lenovo-owned brand can also be seen on Youtube. The smartphone is one of the first to feature an inbuilt support for the Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant and of course also supports Google Assistant. The Moto X4 was announced in the month of September this year at IFA 2017 in Berlin.
With the Moto X4, the company is bringing back another device belonging to the X series after a time gap of one year. The smartphone was supposed to be launched in October but the launch was delayed by the company without giving any proper reason for it. But some reports had suggested that the production delay was the cause of this.
Talking about the specifications of the phone, the Moto X4 is a mid-range smartphone that features a 5.2 inch Full HD display. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset that runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS. The Moto X4 launched in India features two storage options- one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device features a dual-camera set up of 12 mega pixel primary lens with f/2.0 aperture and an 8 mega pixel lens with f/2.2 aperture with LED flash. In the front, the device sports a 16 mega pixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash as well. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
The other specifications of the phone include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE. The device also comes with a front mounted finger print sensor. The Moto X4 3GB variant is priced at Rs 20,999 while the 4GB variant is priced at Rs 22,999. The phone will be available in Super Black and Sterling Blue color options. The company had already stated that the smartphone will be a Flipkart exclusive and will also be available via Moto Hub shops. The device will go for sale starting November 13 at 11:59pm.
