Huawei’s sub brand Honor launched its new flagship device, the Honor V10 at an event held in China on Tuesday. The Honor V10 will be available for sale in the home country starting from December 5 and has been priced at 2,699 RMB, which is roughly Rs 26,335. The device will be available in four color options of Red, Black, Gold and Aurora Gold for the users to choose from.
As expected, the Honor V10 comes with the latest trend off bezel- less display, making the display size of the phone a bit taller than usual. The handset sports a 5.99-inch bezel-less display with a full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The V10 will be powered by a powerful Kirin 970 processor, which is an octa-core processor having a clock speed of 1.84 GHz. The HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC will be the first SoC of Honor that has a neural processing unit (NPU) specifically meant for AI tasks.
The smartphone comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM coupled with 64GB/128GB of internal storage and is packed by a 3,750 mAh battery. The device will run on new EMUI 8.0 based on the Android 8.0 Oreo OS. As far as the camera is concerned, Honor V10 sports a dual camera set-up (16-megapixel and 20-megapixel) at the rear side along with LED flash. At the front, the device comes with a 13-megapixel shooter that also houses the Huawei’s own Face Unlocking feature for added security. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back side just below the dual camera set-up. The Connectivity options for the smartphone include Bluetooth, 4G-LTE, Wifi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB port.
The Honor V10 will not be limited to its home market, China and will be available in other markets soon. The company is holding a mega event on December 5 in London where it seems like the V10 might be launched globally. As per the sources, the company has hinted that its Honor V10 smartphone will make its India debut in January.
